147B KCLR 96FM Apprentice H'cap

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident shortly after leaving the stalls where Balance Of Trade received a bump from both sides. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Thomas Mullins, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Real Petite (GER), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Thomas Mullins stated that his charge ran too freely on his last start and a drop back in trip today brought about the improvement. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.

A.S. Grant, rider of Chou Chou, trained by Eamonn O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never travelled.

Sadhbh Tormey, rider of Rock Etoile, trained by Patrick J. McKenna, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount leaned right throughout.

147C Irish Stallion Farms EBF Gowran Classic

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident one and half furlongs from the finish involving Cherry Hill Girl, ridden by G.M. Ryan, and Mo Mhuirin, ridden by A.J. Slattery where it appeared Cherry Hill Girl had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G M Ryan stated that he hadn't committed to any gap as he was waiting for an opening at which point he saw Mhuirin moving out to the left so he took a precautionary. check A J Slattery stated that the he was edging out for a run and felt he was fully clear of Cherry Hill Girl. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that A J Slattery was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four days.

P.A. Harnett, rider of Loch Gamhna, trained by Martin Hassett, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check at the top of the hill. Having reviewed the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Hardy Warrior, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount met with interference in the straight. Having reviewed the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the home straight where Brownstown (GB), ridden by G.F. Carroll, and Killashee Warrior (GB), ridden by J.A. Powell made contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

S. Foley, rider of Stellar Quality, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered on the first bend.

Reese Holohan, rider of Satono Chevalier, trained by M.K.Flannery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped on the bend leaving the back straight.

C.D. Hayes, rider of Justenzia, trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen throughout.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Pavilion End (GB), trained by Charles O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped on the bend leaving the back straight.

W. Joyce, rider of Cala Bonita, trained by Matthew J. Smith, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen on the top bend.

N.M. Crosse, rider of Inthesmallhours (GB), trained by A. Oliver, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action behind on the top bend.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the bend passed the stands involving Stellar Quality, ridden by S. Foley, and Voice Of Reason, ridden by J. Pietropaolo. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S Foley stated that he received pressure from his outside and had to take a check. J Pietropaolo stated that he felt he was clear of Stellar Quality when he moved in but accepted on further viewing that was not clear at the time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J Pietropaolo was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence),the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays. D P McDonogh accompanied J Pietropaolo in this enquiry.

The Raceday Stewards informed The Clerk Of The Course of the reports concerning the bend.

147E Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) H'cap

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Akecheta, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

W.J. Lee, rider of Spanish Temptress, trained by Richard John O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount leaned right in the last half furlong.

147F QuinnBet (C&G) M'dn

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Listentodwindblow, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left two furlongs down.

N.M. Crosse, rider of The Austrian, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away from the stalls.

147G1 Ladies Day July 25th H'cap

S. Foley, rider of Roaming Coyote, trained by Kevin Thomas Coleman, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a little check one and a half furlongs out. Having reviewed the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sweet Baby Zou (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Joseph Patrick O'Brien stated that the slower ground conditions along with the application of first time cheekpieces brought about the improvement. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its content.

147G2 Ladies Day July 25th H'cap

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Rodeo Blues, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left in the straight and as a result he used his whip in the forehand poisition down the shoulder. Having reviewed the race, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
